Step Two: Dip Bread Slices
Dip bread slices in the egg mixture, and let them stand 20 seconds per side. Don't let the bread stand for too much longer since it could result in mushy toast.
Step Three: Prepare Skillet
You can coat the pan with cooking spray, if you like, or use butter to add rich flavor. Use about 1 tablespoon per batch, and melt it in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step Four: Place Bread in Pan

How to Reheat Frozen French Toast
You can reheat French toast in the microwave a minute or two.
It also reheats well in the toaster while still frozen just like the store bought kind.
If you’re heating a lot at once put them on a cookie sheet in the oven at 350F for 10 minutes, flip and cook until the heated through, another 5 minutes maybe.
Alternatively you can put them under the broiler, be sure to watch carefully and flip them.
Broiler times will vary based on the oven and how close the tray is to the broiler.
Easy Steps to Make French Toast:
1. Heat the oven to its lowest setting (warm or 200 degrees Fahrenheit). It will take at least 20 minutes to warm up.
2. Crack the eggs into your shallow glass bowl and mix with a fork. Add two times as much milk as beaten eggs. Mix well with the fork until everything is incorporated (there shouldn’t be any streaks of yolk or white).
3. Add a pinch of salt, one spoonful of vanilla, and two spoonfuls of sugar. Mix with the fork.
4. Put as many slices of bread in to soak as will comfortably fit on the bottom of the bowl. Let the bread soak for a few minutes, pressing gently and turning it over to coat both sides, then remove and repeat with the remaining slices.
5. Heat the frying pan on the stove, and add a few pats of butter plus a little oil to keep it from browning too fast. Melt the butter over medium-high heat until foamy.
6. Add two slices of soaked bread to the pan. Fry until golden brown on one side, flip with a spatula, and fry the other side. (If the bread browns too fast, turn the heat down it should take about 3-4 minutes per side.)
7. When the first bread slices are finished, move them to your baking sheet while the rest are cooking. Put the baking sheet in the oven to keep the finished slices warm until you’ve fried all the bread.
8. Wipe the pan out with a paper towel between batches if there are a lot of browned bits and residue. After wiping, melt a few new pats of butter with a bit of oil as in step 5 and continue.
9. Remove the baking sheet from the oven, transfer the French toast to a plate, and serve with maple syrup, if desired.

It turns the egg and milk mixture into a delicious, almost custard like taste which toasts up so good with the bread. So remember&hellip 4 eggs, 1 cup of milk and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract is your perfect recipe for making amazing French Toast at home.
Using a well-seasoned cast-iron or nonstick pan, you’ll want to cook your French toast over medium heat. Most camp stoves have relatively small burners and we found we were getting a hot spot right in the middle. This resulted in unevenly cooked bread, particularly if we were trying to cook two slices at once. The solution: more butter.
By cooking with more butter in the pan, the heat is more evenly distributed across the surface of the pan. We start with 4 tablespoons of butter and warm it up until just starting to froth. It might seem like a lot at first, but after toasting about eight slices of bread you may want to replenish.
